Civ 7 Q1 2025 - Getting good at Civ 6

Civilization 7 is set to release February 11, 2025.

I've played Civ 6 fairly consistently for the past couple of years. Despite the frequent play, and the more frequent YouTube strategy binges, I still haven't beaten the game on the highest difficult yet.

I don't think this is due to lack of ability, however, more a lack of seeing the games through to the end. I don't think I'm good enough to win any match I spawn into on the highest difficulty, I do think I can win if I get a decent start.

Hence, I'm giving myself a little challenge. There are about 20 weeks until Civ 7 is released, and there were 20 original Leader/Civilization combos when Civ 6 came out (at least, going by the Wiki).

I'm going to try and win at least 1 game with each. The game modes and map settings will vary, though I am going to refrain from the "meme" setups (e.g. Russia on a cold, wet map with Legendary starting position).
